This role provides high-quality business partnering to clinical and hospital divisions to support the delivery of sustainable healthcare. You will play a vital role in financial and FTE performance reporting, ensuring that senior leadership has the insights needed to make informed decisions for children and families.
Strategic Business Partnering: Provide senior-level support to divisional and cost centre management on performance reporting, budgeting, and variance analysis.
Performance Analysis: Present high-quality financial, FTE, and activity data compared to targets, benchmarks, and key performance indicators.
Budget Coordination: Lead the coordination of divisional budget cycle tasks and maintain budget working papers in accordance with prescribed guidelines.
Funding Oversight: Maintain oversight of Service Level Agreement recurrent and non-current funding, includingv Activity Based Funding (ABF).
Financial Risk Management: Prepare regular full-year forecasts to identify potential differences against budget targets and develop recommendations to maintain budget integrity.
Culture and Mentoring: Actively contribute to the support, mentoring, and coaching of Finance Business Partners and Finance Officers within the team.
Health Sector Expertise: You must possess a high-level ability to deliver business partnering and financial functions within a large healthcare service or similar complex service organisation.
Technical Proficiency: Highly developed skills and practical expertise in S/4HANA, DSS Necto, and BPT are essential.
Analytical Skills: High-level problem-solving skills, including the ability to identify risk and interpret complex data for continued improvements.
Government Experience: Prior experience within a public sector environment and familiarity with public service ethical behaviour and standards.
Qualifications: A tertiary degree in Accounting, Commerce, or Business is very highly desirable.
Professional Registration: Current registration as a CPA, CA, CIMA, or ICA is highly regarded.
Communication: Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to influence senior leadership and multi-disciplinary staff.
Organisational Skills: The ability to manage a high workload and meet strict monthly deadlines while establishing clear work priorities.
